Danhostel Copenhagen City welcomes you to our cozy BAR50, where the possibilities are endless. In the morning, our hostel guests have breakfast here. During the day, the bar operates as a café, transforming into a lovely and atmospheric bar in the evening. Our friendly staff are ready to welcome you whether you need a good cup of coffee, snacks, drinks, cocktails, or a cold draft beer.

Great surroundings and good company

BAR50 is open to everyone who wants to enjoy the company of family, friends, partners, mom groups (or dad groups), or colleagues in lovely surroundings.

During the daytime, BAR50 serves as a breakfast restaurant and café. Here, you can purchase delicious coffee, snacks, sweets, juice, nuts, various types of cakes, and homemade cookies. In the evening, BAR50 offers cold draft beer, bottled beer, and specialty beers. If you're not a big beer enthusiast, we also have a great cocktail menu and fine wines.

Additionally, we offer various cold soft drinks, juice, Cocio (chocolate milk), and energy drinks. Of course, we also have a wide selection of colorful non-alcoholic beverages.

Furthermore, we often host DJ nights, Friday bars, live jazz sessions, and study cafes where the atmosphere is always top-notch.

All events at BAR50 are tailored to the venue and are open to anyone who wants to participate. We are very mindful that our events do not cause unnecessary disturbance to either guests or neighbors, and BAR50 never operates as a nightclub.

Welcome to our Hostel Hours, where we spoil you with fantastic offers on beer and drinks. Stop by for a cozy time with friends or meet new people over a cold beer or two. Come and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, great prices, and pleasant company in our café and bar, BAR50. We look forward to welcoming you to an evening filled with fun and great deals! 🍻 Hostel Hours means cheap beers! 🍻 Enjoy a small draft beer for 25 DKK or a large one for only 35 DKK! (Tuborg or Carlsberg). Hostel Hours is every day from 5-6 pm and again between 8-9 pm! Besides the cheap draft beer, you can also enjoy these offers: Drinks 2 of the same kind 100 DKK (choose between Gin & Tonic, Rum & Coke or Firetruck) 5 Breezer bottles 160 DKK. 5 Tuborg bottles 100 DKK. 10 shots (sour or gajol) 100 DKK Take a seat in the bar with a lovely view over the canal, or take your beer to-go and enjoy a stroll around the city.🍺

BlueAshes-Concert

BlueAshes returns to Denmark and will perform at BAR50 on Monday, December 30th, at 8:00 PM!🎸🎶 After an amazing concert with us in August, which was received with great enthusiasm, the duo is now back in Denmark for another show at our venue. BlueAshes, based in Nashville, Tennessee, consists of Danish singer Shila Mariposa and Alexis Zuniga from Cali, Colombia. Shila’s powerful rock vocals combined with Alexis’ impressive guitar solos deliver an energetic rock and rockabilly experience that is sure to get the audience rocking along. Their album Checkmate, released on January 30, 2020, is available on all major streaming platforms. Their 2024 release, Heck Yeah, Hold My Beer, is a rock-country fusion that has quickly resonated with music lovers in Tennessee. They have also just released their first Danish single, Jeg kommer hjem (“I’m Coming Home”) – a heartfelt tribute from Shila to her father.🩷 We’ll have warm drinks and snacks on the menu, and we look forward to seeing you!☕🍻

Winterjazz | Sigrid Eva

Vinterjazz is a nationwide music festival that has been creating a unique jazz vibe across Denmark every February since 2001. Copenhagen comes alive with music, and BAR50 is, as always, proud to be part of this fantastic festival. Sigrid Eva invites you on a musical journey that delves into life’s stories, creating an intimate and personal concert experience. As a singer, songwriter, and pianist, she released her debut EP "Oceans Away" in 2023 and has since established herself as a prominent voice on the Danish music scene. With headline performances at venues like RUST, Musikhuset København, and Fatter Eskil, she has built a solid fan base, and following her first Denmark tour in fall 2024, she now performs at BAR50 as part of the CPH Vinterjazz Festival. Look forward to an evening filled with presence, magical tones, and a truly special atmosphere at BAR50. We can’t wait to welcome you! 🎶✨

Winterjazz | Vejslev & Vejslev

Vinterjazz is a nationwide music festival that has been creating a unique jazz atmosphere across Denmark every February since 2001. Copenhagen is filled with musical experiences, and BAR50 is, as always, proud to be part of this fantastic festival. Look forward to a special evening with Vejslev & Vejslev, as father and son bring top-tier jazz to BAR50 as part of Vinterjazz 2024. Since the duo's beginnings in 2008, when Kristoffer Vejslev delved deeper into jazz under the guidance of his father, composer and guitarist Jakob Vejslev, they have created a unique musical partnership. Their journey gained momentum during Kristoffer's years of study at the conservatory in Amsterdam and has evolved into a refined exploration of the art of the guitar duo. Experience an evening where the magic of jazz fills the intimate setting of BAR50. As the music fills the room, treat yourself to warm drinks and delicious snacks from our menu. Children's Café - for kids and parent groups

At Danhostel Copenhagen City, we are always happy to welcome children. This also applies to our café, where children are welcome to play.

We have a play area in the basement with toys, books, and coloring materials, as well as child-friendly food and drinks at the bar.

We have changing facilities, highchairs, and space for your stroller. At our place, playing, relaxing, and breastfeeding are all welcome!
