The basement - full of fun
If you go down the stairs, which you'll find in the café, BAR50, you'll reach the basement. Here, we have table football, table tennis, and pool billiards for you to challenge your fellow travelers while staying here. Please inquire at the reception for balls and bats for loan. Everything is free.
NEW! You can now also play air hockey (please note, there is a small fee).
Further into the basement, you'll find a playroom for children and a bookshelf, where we operate on the concept of "swap a book." Find an interesting book on the shelf and exchange it with your own book - this way, you'll leave exciting reading material for other guests.
In the basement, there's also a TV that you are welcome to use.
Café and bar with TV - BAR50
As a guest, you are always welcome in our café/bar, which we call BAR50. Here you can buy food and drinks throughout the day or simply relax with your fellow travelers.
We have a TV in the café, and we provide board games for you to enjoy - all free of charge.
It's also where we host various events throughout the year. Everything from showing national matches and other sports events to creative workshops, bingo, and small concerts.

Culture Night
Experience Copenhagen like never before during Culture Night, the city’s biggest celebration of art, culture, and creativity. Every October, for one unforgettable evening, Copenhagen opens its doors to hundreds of unique events, with museums, galleries, theaters, and cultural spaces offering extraordinary experiences from 6:00 PM to midnight.
J-Day at BAR50
This Friday, 6 November, Christmas officially begins at BAR50! 🎄 From 8 PM, DJ NIKNAGS will turn up the energy with familiar hip-hop, pounding bass and energetic rhythms inspired by Latin American club culture. At 8:59 PM, the snow starts falling at BAR50. Afterwards, the first 60 guests to make their way to the bar will get a FREE Christmas beer! ❄️ Look forward to a festive night with a DJ, great offers, plenty of Christmas beer and Santa hats 🎅 – plus lots of Christmas cheer and good times with friends. Start your weekend with Friday specials, Hostel Hour, and student discounts! Ready for the weekend? Get your mates, coursemates, or colleagues together and join us for Friday bar at BAR50. Expect a great atmosphere, cold beers, and properly good drinks at prices that make sense. Whether you’re after a laid-back pint to shake off the week, or you're looking for the perfect launchpad before a big night out in Copenhagen, we’re the place to be. We go big on Fridays. Share the love (and the drinks) with our Friday special: massive cocktail pitchers for just 300 DKK. We've also got board games and table football, so you can challenge your mates to a little friendly competition over a cold beer or a delicious cocktail. Studying? Bring your student ID along to get your hands on our student discount – because a proper Friday night shouldn't blow your budget. And if you want to stretch your money even further, don't miss our daily Hostel Hour. Catch us at the bar between 17:00–18:00 or 20:00–21:00 for the best deals of the day.
