Who Are the Voices of the Streets
The core principle of Voices of the Streets is that everyone should have the opportunity to positively express themselves in interaction with the broader society. The tours aim to create meaningful, paid employment, self-esteem, and opportunities for socially disadvantaged people.
The project aims to raise awareness, empathy, and attention around social issues and marginalization while providing meaningful employment and boosting the self-esteem of those involved. By listening to the "voices of the streets," participants have a unique opportunity to see Copenhagen from a different perspective and reflect on society's diversity and challenges.

Unique Walking Tour
Voices of the Streets offers a 90-minute walking tour with a guide of your choice. The tour, based on the guide's personal stories about life on the edge of society, is an incredibly educational opportunity to understand social inheritance, inequalities, and insights into society's darker sides.
The tours, all tailored to the guides' life stories, often take place in inner Copenhagen, many starting and ending within walking distance from our hostel, making it a perfect part of your stay with us.
The guides' stories often draw from lives marked by homelessness, substance use, sex work, foster care, and mental vulnerability. On the tour, you'll gain a raw and moving insight into life's and the city's darker sides, accompanied by hope, smiles, and optimism.
Experience Copenhagen in a special way! Voices of the Streets offers both single tickets and group tours. We recommend that participants be at least 12 years old.
