A world beneath the sea

The Blue Planet – Denmark’s National Aquarium – invites you on a captivating journey into the wonders of the underwater world.

Here, you can explore an incredible variety of marine life and discover thousands of fascinating species. The aquarium’s 50 tanks, holding more than 7 million liters of water, are carefully designed to recreate realistic and beautiful underwater environments, giving you the feeling of actually being beneath the surface.

Wander through the exhibitions as you move from the cold Nordic lakes and seas, across the open ocean, and into the tropical rivers and coral reefs. The Blue Planet places great emphasis on creating immersive and authentic habitats, and the aquarium environments are continuously cared for and refined.

For families with children, there is plenty to learn and explore. Kids can dive into interactive exhibits and take part in fun and educational activities that encourage curiosity and introduce them to the magic of marine life in an engaging way. And for adults, there is just as much to discover, observe, and be inspired by.

There are dining options available on-site, but you are also welcome to bring your own food.
