King's Garden

Copenhagen's most popular park, located in the city center, is called King's Garden. It first opened its gates in the early 17th century as a garden for Rosenborg Castle, which still stands in the garden today. King's Garden was created by Denmark's King Christian IV, who originally designed it with the purpose of establishing a herb garden for the royal court.

At Rosenborg Castle, visitors can view the Queen's Crown Jewels or take a guided tour. Just behind King's Garden is Copenhagen's Botanical Garden, where visitors can enjoy a free walk through several stunning greenhouses.

The park offers tropical and desert climates, many different butterflies, and a wide variety of fascinating plants to explore.
