Copenhagen on a budget
Each room includes at least two single beds that can be combined into a double, along with large, comfortable bunk beds. You'll also have access to a private bathroom with toilet and shower, personal lockers, a desk and chair, reading lights, power outlets, and free WiFi.
Safety is a priority – only guests with key cards can access both the lifts and dorm rooms.

2) Select "More info" under Shared Dormitory.
3) Choose your preferred dates and number of people in the calendar.
4) Select whether you want a refundable or non-refundable booking.
5) Click "Continue" and add any extras to your stay.
6) Complete your payment – and get ready for your arrival!
Remember: If you choose a refundable booking, you can freely change or cancel your reservation until 6 PM the day before arrival.

Everything within a 3 km radius
Our hostel is perfectly located – within 3 km of the city center, the coolest neighbourhoods, and all the must-see spots. So honestly? Just lace up your shoes and start exploring.
That said, we highly recommend renting a bike. It’s a cheap, fun, flexible, and fast way to get around like a local – and it only costs 120 DKK per day.

Before arrival & useful apps
To get the most out of your stay, there are a few things worth remembering before you arrive.
Bring a padlock if you want to use the lockers in your room. Don’t forget an adapter for your chargers – in Denmark, we use type C and K plugs, and the voltage is 230V.
We also recommend downloading a few useful apps to help you navigate the city, find affordable places to eat, and plan your transport.

Out of respect for other guests staying in our shared dormitories, check-in is not possible after 11:00 PM.
If you expect to arrive later than planned, please contact the hostel in advance to make arrangements.
Check-out: By 10 AM
Late check-out until 12 PM can be added for 75 DKK.
Breakfast buffet
Enjoy our delicious breakfast buffet at BAR50, served every day from 7:00 to 10:00 AM.
Price per adult: 98 DKK.
The buffet includes freshly baked bread, cold cuts, cheese, homemade chia pudding, and more. Coffee, milk, and juice are always included.
Breakfast can be added to your booking during the booking process or upon arrival.
Food & drinks
Our guest kitchen is available for all overnight guests.
Feel free to cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner with your own groceries. You’re welcome to enjoy your meal in the dining area.
Please note: It’s not allowed to cook or eat in the rooms.
The kitchen is closed daily from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM for cleaning.
Tapwater: In Denmark, the water from the tap is safe to drink.
Luggage storage
Before check-in
If you arrive before check-in at 2 PM, you’re welcome to use our self-service luggage storage for free. You’ll find the luggage room on the ground floor (level -1).
During your stay
Each room has lockers for your personal belongings. Remember to bring a padlock or rent/buy one at reception.
After check-out
After you check out, you can store your luggage in our self-service storage for 29 DKK per person. The luggage room is on the ground floor (level -1).
Services & rentals
Sometimes you forget to pack everything – and that’s okay! Our reception can help with most things you might need during your stay.
Among others, you can rent bicycles, hairdryers and padlocks.
You can also purchase items such as extra towels, toiletries, and padlocks.

Age restrictions
You must be at least 18 years old to stay in our shared dormitories.
For guests under 18, we recommend booking a private room or apartment.
Guests aged 16 and 17 are welcome to stay alone in a private room, as long as Danhostel Copenhagen City receives written permission in advance from a parent or legal guardian confirming this.
Children and teenagers aged 15 and under can only stay at Danhostel Copenhagen City if accompanied by an adult.
Modification & cancellation policy
Modifications:
Bookings made on our website can be modified up until 6 PM the day before arrival.
Cancellations:
Cancellations must be made by 6 PM (local time) the day before arrival to avoid charges. If you cancel later, you’ll be charged for the first night.
Non-refundable bookings:
Non-refundable bookings cannot be changed or cancelled. The full amount is charged at the time of booking, and refunds are not possible.
Bookings via third-party sites:
If you booked through a third party (e.g. Expedia, Booking.com), you’ll need to cancel directly with them. Be aware that different cancellation policies may apply.
When do I pay for my booking?
If you book via online booking on the website, you will have to pay immediately in order to approve your booking. When booking via telephone or e-mail, you will shortly receive a confirmation e-mail with payment details.
Please double check your reservation before paying to be sure if cancellation is free of charge before a specific date, or if the reservation is a non-refundable .
Do you have an ATM?
We have an ATM in the basement where you can withdraw cash - take the stairs in our café BAR50 and follow the signs.
You can pay with pounds, euros, and dollars at the reception – notes only. Change is given in Danish kroner.
Card payment:
We accept all major credit and debit cards at reception and in BAR50.
Lost and found
If you have lost something during your stay here at our hostel, you can contact us on rec@cphhostel.dk, where you can tell us what you are missing. Next, we will see if it matches one of the parts in our box of lost and found. If it does, we will contact you with the further return process.
Want to donate your lost and found?
If you have lost something that you do not want us to send back to you, we will be happy to donate it to anyone who might need it. We do this as a part of our mission to be a sustainable hostel.
Laundry
We have both washing machines and dryers available in our laundry room.
You can wash your clothes during your stay – payment is handled at reception.
Long-term stays
There’s no limit to how many days you can stay at Danhostel Copenhagen City.
Please note, there may be a need to change rooms during your stay due to cleaning or maintenance.
Towels and bed linen are always included in the price.
If you stay longer than four nights, you’re welcome to request fresh linen and towels.
