Casual family vacation in Copenhagen
When bringing your family on a trip to Copenhagen, Danhostel Copenhagen is the obvious choice of accommodation. We are centrally located just a 10 minutes walk from Tivoli Gardens, Main Central Station, the famous shopping street 'Strøget' and the Metro.
When booking accommodation with us, you can easily experience all the popular sights of Copenhagen. You can rent strollers during your stay for DKK 50 per day. In addition, you have the opportunity to rent bicycles for the whole family. We have bikes with child seats so all family members can join the bike ride through the streets of Copenhagen. And of course we also have bicycle helmets for children and adults.
At the reception you can buy tickets and ride passes for Tivoli Gardens and other sightseeing tickets as well as the free transportation pass Copenhagen Card. If you need inspiration for your vacation in Copenhagen, we have gathered a list of the activities which the city offers: Click to see the guide.
Child-friendly meals
Unlike many hotels that also offer family rooms, our hostel is decorated with children in mind - even our meals.
At our café, we put out a baby blanket with toys, books, jumping cows and cartoons - in the middle of the café, so you can let the children play, before, during and after breakfast, lunch or something else. We have high chairs, child-friendly food and drink as well as changing facilities.
Our café is open every day from 7-24. However, we would like to point out that on busy days with many people, a children's corner can not be guaranteed until after the breakfast buffet. That is, after 10 am.
Playroom and table football
If you need a quiet day, without so many plans, we also have a playroom for kids, table football and board games.
During the school holidays we have activities that vary according to the season, e.g. Shrovetide traditions, Halloween fun, jewelry workshop, pearl workshop, face painting or quizzes with prizes and more... We also often organize treasure hunts during school holidays, where there may even be competitions with prizes up for grabs.
