Common room & student discount
When you're not out exploring the city and have the chance to relax and hang out at the hostel, we have plenty of fun facilities to keep you entertained.
On the lower floor, we have a cozy common room with a TV, foosball, pool, air hockey, and table tennis. If you head up the stairs, you'll find yourself in the café BAR50, where you can chill in front of one of our TVs or challenge each other to one of our many board games. There are also plenty of power outlets to charge your phone and free Wi-Fi if you just need some downtime on your phone.
Don’t worry – there’s Wi-Fi in the rooms too, so you can relax there as well.
Psst… If you have a valid student card, you get a 10% student discount at BAR50.
Explore the area
If you’re keen to explore Copenhagen, there are many great spots around our hostel. Behind the building, you'll find both Kalvebod Bølge and Islands Brygge, where you can sit and enjoy the waterfront view, play ball, skate, swim, and relax in the sun.
If you're more into shopping, Strøget begins just a 5-minute walk from the front door. The Fisketorvet shopping mall is also just a 15-minute walk along the water.
Additionally, you’ll find Tivoli, cinemas, McDonald’s, Broens Street Kitchen, and much more within a 2 km radius..
Note: It is not allowed to bring food or alcohol into the rooms, but there’s a Netto just around the corner where you can buy snacks for your room.

The boring but important info...
As a guest with us, you don’t need to worry about bringing your own bedding. You’ll find a duvet and pillow in your room, and bed linen as well as one towel will be provided upon check-in, which should be returned at check-out.
It might be a good idea to bring an extra towel depending on your needs.
Extra linen and towels can always be rented at the reception.
Please note that sleeping bags are not allowed, and a fee of 500 DKK per person will be charged if bed linen is not used on the beds.
If you have any questions, our reception is open and staffed 24/7. If the receptionists are away on errands, our digital receptionist Lia is always ready with a joke while you wait.
Alcohol and smoking
Please remember that Danhostel Copenhagen City is non-smoking – smoking is only allowed outside, and violations result in a 1,000 DKK fee. Bringing your own alcohol is not permitted, and any beverages not purchased at the hostel will be confiscated, which also results in a 1,000 DKK fee. Alcohol purchased at the hostel may only be consumed by guests over the age of 18.
