The Harbour Circle

The Harbour Circle is an approximately 13-kilometre circular route along Copenhagen’s harbour, connecting the city’s various districts through paths, pavements, and bridges.

The route takes you through areas such as Nyhavn, Holmen, Christianshavn, Islands Brygge, Amager, Sydhavnen, and Vesterbro, offering a diverse insight into the city’s character. Along the way, you’ll pass both historic landmarks and modern architecture, while enjoying views of the harbour and the vibrant life along the waterfront.

The Harbour Circle is ideal for both pedestrians and cyclists and can be divided into shorter stretches of 2, 4, or 7 kilometres if you prefer a shorter route. You can choose where to start and finish.

With views of the water, architectural highlights, and small green pockets, the Harbour Circle is a perfect way to unwind, experience the city, and simply be present in the moment.

Amager Fælled – The Green Route

Crossing Langebro and running along the charming Islands Brygge, you'll quickly reach Amager Fælled.

It's a large and beautiful natural area where you can enjoy the green surroundings and fresh air.

Amager Fælled has a trail system that crisscrosses the area, allowing you to easily adjust the route to your desired distance

The Amarmino

If you’re up for a slightly longer hike and would like to experience a completely different side of Copenhagen, the Amarmino is well worth lacing up your hiking boots for.

The route is 27 km long and starts right by DR Byen Metro Station, not far from the city centre. From here, you quickly leave the city noise behind and head into the wild, open nature of Amager Fælled. Further along, you’ll encounter coastal meadows, birdlife, sea views, and a sense of calm you wouldn’t expect to find so close to the city. The walk ends in the charming coastal town of Dragør, with its cobblestone streets and old houses, where you can catch a bus or the metro back.

It’s an ideal day trip for experienced hikers, or for anyone who wants to combine a city break with a generous dose of Danish nature.
